Mrs. Amy Brown, Human Resources Director
Pediatric Care Hospital – Gainesville
2345 Children Lane
Gainesville, FL 32045
Dear Mrs. Brown:
Last week, you and I met at the University of Florida nursing job fair. You mentioned that Pediatric Care Hospital might be interviewing entry-level registered nurses this spring to assist treating patients in your facility. If a position becomes available, I would like to apply for it. With my experience in the hospital setting, I would be a valuable addition to your facility.
My work experience includes two years as a Certified Nursing Assistant at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL along with two years as an Intern Nurse at UF Health Hospital in Jacksonville, FL. My responsibilities included providing patient’s personal hygiene; providing patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients call light and requests; reporting observations of the patient to nursing supervisor; and protecting patients confidential information. While at UF Shands Hospital, I learned to work with nurses, doctors, and other medical professionals in a team-focused environment.
My education in nursing at the University of Florida would allow me to contribute a thorough understanding of patient care and confidentiality. In one of the best programs in the country, I have excelled at courses in health assessment and communication, wellness promotion and illness prevention, population focused care, and the legal and ethical issues in nursing. In addition, my work in the university’s state-of-the-art nursing lab has prepared me to assist patients and providing each patient and their families with the care that they deserve. I also have experience with Microsoft Office system that your company uses.
The enclosed resume highlights my other qualifications. I enjoyed speaking with you at the job fair, and I would appreciate an opportunity to talk to you again about opportunities at your Pediatric Care Hospital. If you would like more information or you would like to schedule an interview, please call me at 904-555-2233 or e-mail atmallorymobley@gmail.com.
Sincerely,
Mallory Mobley
